Acrostic Poem Using The Word Flu

Greg Currie Milan

hello to everyone. There are Luke Barlassina.

inform you of the following conferences:

Tuesday 16 febbraio, ore 17, aula 435 (via Festa del Perdono 7)
Gregory Currie (University of Nottingham) " Imagination and desire "

Ecco l'abstract:

I, along with others, have argued that we need to acknowledge the existence of desire-like imaginings. One reason is that desire-like imaginings seem to be required if we are properly to account for our responses to tragedy. Others have argued that we can explain this response in other ways, while Egan and Doggett have come in on my side of the argument. I review the various theories, and argue that the belief in desire-like imaginings is justified by its role Explaining in Our responses to tragedy.

If you want the whole paper, please write to luca.barlassina @ unimi.it, or luca.barlassina @ gmail.com. If you want to read about other things, I'd suggest:

(1) G. Currie, I. Ravenscroft Recreativo Minds (intro and ch. 1), 2002, Oxford University Press

(3) A. Egan, T. Doggett "Wanting Things You Do not Want," http://sitemaker.umich.edu/egana/files/imagination.near_final.2007.06.29.pdf

One last thing. Currie said he was willing to meet students who wish to speak with him. I'm going to talk to him. Others are interested in speaking with Currie? If yes, please let me know. We could arrange a meeting between General Greg and students around, say, 14:30. However, if someone wants to meet him in private, let me know. To contact me, please use the email address I wrote above.

Greetings from Paris.
